In this role you would be performing a variety of standard, generally repetitive, machine tool operations involved in the fabrication and/or machine operations required to manufacture composite parts or assemblies.

This position reports to the working team lead in the area or directly to the supervisor.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
--Use hand, power and machine tools to facilitate preparation, cleaning and manufacturing processes of molds, equipment, parts, assemblies, or machinery. Equipment used may include computer numerical controlled (CNC) or manual machine shop equipment such as grinders, millers, drills, lathes, autoclaves or lasers.
--As assigned follow standard operating procedures, detailed work instructions, blueprints, and sketches; to machine, drill, cut, shape, bond, lay-up, compress, cure, sew, trim, and make simple repairs to composite parts.
--Record all fabrication or machine operating parameters accurately and legibly in parts manufacturing notebook, routing sheets, resident paper or department documentation or terminals to ensure recording completion of work-in-process, inventories, schedules, labor expenditures, etc.
--Uses inspection devices such as protractors, venires, micrometers, tapes, tension or weight scales, gages, and specifically designed measuring tools, to assure quality of operations being performed.
--Maintain a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with all internal, customer and government regulations.
--Perform daily preventative maintenance of equipment in adherence with a predefined schedule
--Perform other assignments and tasks as directed.
--High School Diploma or GED required.
--3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing setting operating CNC and manual machine tools required.
--Ability to work from detailed sketches, complex work instructions required.
--Experience or training with manufacturing or machining tasks, which require the use of simple measuring instruments such as, tape measures, micrometers and venire gages, preferred.
--Requires knowledge of shop math, involving decimals, fractions and their application.
--Computer literacy, familiarity with blueprints and computer numerical controllers (CNC) is preferred.
--Must be willing to work in a repetitive production environment with concerns for meeting cost, quality and schedule requirements and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
--Must be willing to work as a team player, as well as independently.
