U.S. Bank Project Manager 5 - Retail Payment Services in Columbia, South Carolina

The Retail Payment Solutions Project Management Office is seeking candidates that have significant Project Management experience and a strong desire to be an advocate for the RPS Credit Card business lines. The project manager that fulfills this role will be working on a team that primarily supports Credit Card Product and Portfolio Managers, and will be engaging other business line and IT stakeholders across the company based on the needs of each project. This position is responsible for:

  • Completing project scope and definition activities with business and IT partners.

  • Maintaining project management plans and documentation to communicate with multiple stakeholders, to proactively manage risks and to resolve issues.

  • Facilitating project-related meetings, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, publishing minutes and conferring with business line leaders.

  • Verbally reporting project updates to senior leadership.

  • Engaging with other team members in the broader RPS Implementation Office as partners in delivery.



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience.

  • Eight to ten years of experience in project management and leadership activities.

  • Substantial knowledge of project methodologies.

  • Ability to integrate multiple development methodologies into one project plan.

  • Microsoft Project tool experience.

  • Implementation planning experience.

  • Solid understanding of the credit card business.

  • Other required skills include leadership level soft skills, such as active listening, pro-active collaboration, results orientation and drive, and clear, concise verbal and written communication.
