Role Summary:

The Finance Leader will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to deliver customer outcomes for Distributed Energy Project and will drive growth in a fast-paced, start-up environment. In this role, you will work in a multi-faceted capacity, including strong collaboration with GE Ventures, GE Global Research, GE Capital, and the GE P&Ls.

Essential Responsibilities:

As the Finance Leader, you will:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate and price project financing

  • Integrate these project models with corporate models to support senior management decision making

  • Work closely with senior members of the corporate and project finance teams in interactions with investors and lenders

  • Support financial structuring and due-diligence efforts on industry-first financings of distributed energy assets

  • Improve risk management via consistent use of processes and controls, prudent transaction structuring, and rigorous project due-diligence

  • Advise the Business Development and Commercial teams on anticipated financing terms and assist in the development, pricing and origination of projects

  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate and price project financingd

  • Interface with investors and lenders to provide project information and maintain project finance models for on-going funds

  • Supports conversion of active opportunities into orders against target and estimates

  • Provide pricing analytics and cost estimation support on active bids


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or related field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in finance or commercial finance roles


  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% of the time, both domestically and internationally, as required

Desired Characteristics:

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from an accredited university or college

  • Well rounded experience, including deal experience with government agencies, commercial customers, and international partners

  • Expertise in energy markets, power economics, and emerging technologies

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

  • Proven ability to develop and message strategy to senior leadership

  • Ability to perform in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment
