Role Summary:

The focus of the role is on commissioning building control systems under the guidance and oversight of one of our experienced Field Service Engineers. The commissioning process involves extensive use of web-based tools and remote configuration of devices at our customer sites. This opportunity would be ideal for a recent graduate with a technical background, good computer skills, and an attention to detail.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition you will :

  • Perform commissioning of Daintree’s wireless building control solution, ControlScope

  • Perform commissioning of Tridium Niagara building control solutions

  • Review and understand system designs and architectural plans

  • Become proficient with the commissioning and use of wireless and wired building control solutions

  • Work closely with on-site installation crews to confirm correct installation and operation of devices

  • Use the system to QA and check the installation work done by the on-site installation crews

  • Ensure that the required documentation and information has been captured and stored for each site once installation and commissioning is complete

  • Provide general support and assistance to Field Service Engineers

  • PLEASE NOTE : work location listed is Glen Allen, VA. However, this position may also be eligible in San Ramon, CA Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university or college (Or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in networking, Unix / Linux environment, software applications, and / or building control systems , Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum or 4 years of experience networking, Unix / Linux environment, software applications, and / or building control systems)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer focused role ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :

  • Willingness and ability to undertake travel within the United States (approx. 20%), depending on the mix and location of projects being supported
